We have a range of up to date facilities enabling us to treat your pet promptly, efficiently and of course with the utmost care. Reception and Waiting Room
Please bear in mind that attending the vet can be stressful for some pets, so carry cats, rabbits, rodents and other small animals in a secure case or cage and keep dogs under control and on a lead at all times. Many of our clients enjoy our facilities so much that they make social calls whenever they are passing!
In-House Laboratory
Our modern in-house laboratory allows us to detect and diagnose rapidly conditions that would take far longer if sent to outside facilities. We run full blood screening, pre-operative blood tests, urine analysis and routine microscopy tests and have X-ray facilities. We run also in house screening for dermatophytes (ringworm), feline leukaemia and feline AIDS.
Alternative and Complementary Medicine
There is a rapidly growing interest in the field of alternative therapies for animals including homeopathy, acupuncture, herbal remedies, osteopathy, mctimmonny therapy and hydrotherapy. We may recommend sending animals for one or more of these treatments and are happy to discuss the benefits of each during consultation. Our qualified advisors can assist you in purchasing a range of traditional herbal remedies and we can refer your pet to a homeopath if desired.
Hospital and Kennels We have a range of modern hospital and kennel facilities where your pet can await treatment and convalesce or spend time as a paying guest whilst you are away. We are also able to isolate patients where necessary.
Boarding We offer boarding facilities for cats and small pets for short periods of time. We are not able to offer boarding for dogs. We can also provide a list of house sitters and dog walkers. Please ask at reception for details.
